Improvements are taking place at our front door and beyond.
State Highways 114 and 121, located to the north of DFW Airport, will undergo $1 billion in improvements that will increase mobility, improve air quality and expand roadway capacity. The eight-mile project, known as the DFW Connector, wraps up in 2014 and will eventually allow you to easily access the Airport’s north entrance – no matter where you are coming from – without exiting the highway.
We suggest travelers entering the Airport from the north allow time for potential construction delays. Additionally, please be sure to visit the website for information on the new entrance to the DFW Airport Remote north parking lot.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC PATTERN SWITCH - TERMINAL A - MAY 16 - MAY 20, 2013
Between 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 16th and 4:00 a.m. on Monday, May 20th, there will be a temporary switch in the Terminal A traffic pattern. Click here to view a map outlining the temporary traffic pattern that will be put in place while we work to (re)define the middle section of the Terminal A parking garage.
IMPORTANT DAILY UPDATES - MONDAY, MAY 20, 2013:
Eastbound SH 114/northbound SH 121 from Main Street to Texan Trail - Description: Full highway closure on eastbound SH 114/northbound SH 121 from Main Street to Texan Trail for signage work.
- Time: 8 PM to 6 AM.
- Detour: Traffic will be detoured to the eastbound SH 114 and northbound SH 121 frontage roads.
North and southbound SH 26 at SH 114 - Description: Full highway closure on north and southbound SH 26 at SH 114 for bridge work.
- Time: 8 PM to 6 AM.
- Detour: Northbound SH 26 will be detoured to Mustang Drive, then William D. Tate Avenue. Southbound SH 26 will be detoured to FM 1709/Southlake Boulevard, eastbound SH 114 to William D. Tate Avenue, then Mustang Drive
- Associated closures: Full road closure on Ernest Dean Parkway at SH 26 - *business access will be maintained through the eastbound SH 114 frontage road, Industrial Boulevard and northbound SH 26. Full ramp closure on eastbound SH 114 off-ramp to SH 26/William D. Tate Avenue/Main Street (detour to Texan Trail).
FULL RAMP CLOSURE: Eastbound SH 114 off-ramp to southbound SH 121 Full ramp closure on eastbound SH 114 off-ramp to southbound SH 121 for paving work. - Time: 8 PM to 6 AM.
- Detour: Traffic will be detoured to William D. Tate Avenue.
