In preparation for takeoff of the new air services to Hong Kong and Shanghai, DFW Airport treated travelers earlier this summer in Terminal D to a series of events that encompassed all the sights, sounds and tastes of China. Travelers were able to taste the flavors of these two destinations, watched dragons and drummers dance, admired Chinese calligraphy work, observed T’ai chi martial artists in action and posed with women dressed in traditional Chinese attire.
On June 11, DFW celebrated a historical moment and welcomed two nonstop air service destinations to Hong Kong and Shanghai. The new routes to Hong Kong and Shanghai are the first to connect Texas to Asia-main land. Travelers now have more opportunity to reach top destinations in Asia. With these added routes, DFW Airport continues to be a world-class gateway to the world, offering a total of 204 destinations, including 56 international markets and 147 domestic airports.
