DFW Airport Teaming With Collinson to Open On-site Testing Facilities

News Image DFW AIRPORT, Texas – May 25, 2021 – Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) Airport is teaming with Collinson to provide travelers with COVID-19 testing facilities located both before the TSA security checkpoint in Terminal D and after the checkpoint.

The facilities are before the D22 TSA security checkpoint and near the D7 gate beyond the TSA security checkpoint. A third site is scheduled to open in beyond the TSA security checkpoint in June. The facilities will offer pre-departure testing to international and domestic travelers, as well as to Airport staff and airline crews. Some destinations require a negative test, and customers should confirm the need for a test with their air carrier in advance.

A full range of tests – including pre-departure PCR tests, pre-departure antigen tests, and pre-departure antibody tests – are available and can be booked as little as one hour in advance via the Collinson website. After receiving a negative result, travelers are provided with a digital certification they can show relevant parties in order to safely make trips.

“As more and more travelers return to airports, we know how important quick and reliable testing will be for many of our customers,” said Ken Buchanan, Executive Vice President of the Revenue Management & Customer Experience at DFW Airport. “That’s why we’re teaming with Collinson to open these new facilities. We want to make passenger journeys as seamless and convenient as possible, and that includes how easily they can take and get the results of their tests. Collinson guarantees all tests are conducted under the supervision of a medical professional for the most safe and accurate results.”

Collinson is a leader in providing traveler experience services, including medical and security assistance and travel medical services. With more and more passengers returning to air travel and many needing testing facilities, Collinson will create 200 new jobs to staff the DFW Airport facilities, and that number could grow as the demand for travel grows.

“We launched our first COVID-19 airport testing facility in the UK last summer and have since tested hundreds of thousands of global passengers,” said Sheryl Pflaum, President of the Americas at Collinson. “The new facilities at DFW Airport are in response to demand for airport testing facilities around the world as we start to emerge from various lockdowns. We’re working with airports, airlines and local authorities alike to give travelers convenient, cost-effective options for taking tests pre-departure.”
