Laurence & Kaylene Howell arrived at DFW after 24 hours in transit from Australia, and logged into the airport Wi-Fi only to receive a message from the accommodation they had booked stating they would not be able to honor their booking. This was immediately prior to the eclipse, so alternative accommodation was going to be very tough to find. They were shocked at receiving that message and not knowing the area, were having trouble trying to figure out a Plan B. And then, somehow, they bumped into Cindy. Realizing that they were bone-tired and struggling to think their way out of a paper bag, she took their situation in hand, helped them purchase a local SIM card, and, most importantly, managed to find them a hotel room in a location that proved to be excellent for getting around. She even took the time and effort to make sure they caught the correct hotel shuttle! Cindy's help turned what was initially a very negative situation into a very positive one and has left them with an enduring memory of the friendliness of the Texan people.
